RICHARD NEAL
Richard Neal has amassed a record of practical experiences related to public education. Through his career he has served as a teacher from elementary to adult educator, guidance counselor, principal, associate superintendent of a large school system, and numerous other positions in education! Richard became a pioneer in setting revolutionary framework for decentralization of school district management. He has authored numerous books, writes monthly columns on education, and is currently focused on school reform! Richard is passionate about education in every way! He knows that education comes in many forms, and Dancing Classrooms is a program he advocates for in every way!
LAURA STAINBACK
Laura grew up overseas as a missionary kid, and caught the dance bug shortly after moving to the US. She has been involved with ballroom and Latin dance for almost 20 years, having taught and competed professionally and with students all across the US and the Caribbean. Her competitive specialty is American Smooth, including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango and Viennese Waltz. Laura has also won several teaching awards, having helped to build various studios. In 2017 she opened her own studio, Best of Ballroom, with Ranko Bogosavac! Laura is a certified Teaching Artist with Take the Lead NC/ Dancing Classrooms. Sharing dance with the community is Laura’s passion. She is a strong believer that everyone needs to dance! We appreciate so much her years of dedication to this event and to the children we serve.
